Promoting a Safer Church

The care and protection of children, young people and adults involved in church activities is the responsibility of everyone who participates in the life of the church.

If you are concerned that someone you know is at risk of, or being abused or presents a risk to others, please seek advice from a Safeguarding Advisor or if necessary report the matter to the Local Authority Social Care Services or the Police without delay.

Kent County Council Social Services have staff available 24 hours a day,      

7 days a week to talk to you about your worries.

If your concern is in respect of an adult, they can be contacted during the day and in office hours by calling 03000 41 61 61 (text relay 18001 03000 41 61 61) or they can be emailed at social.services@kent.gov.uk

If your concern is in respect of a child they can be contacted during the day and in office hours by calling 03000 41 11 11 (text relay 18001 03000 41 11 11) or they can be emailed at social.services@kent.gov.uk

If you need to contact Social Services outside of normal office hours, for example during the night, call 03000 41 91 91.

If you think someone is in immediate danger, the best thing to do is call 999 for the emergency services.
